More College Housing coming to Bellingham
The Grove a college housing option saying they are “fully loaded college living,” is coming to town and is already leasing apartments for Fall 2015.
Have you been wondering about the construction going on just south of Fred Meyers on Lincoln St. The Grove, which is a national housing company geared toward college students, broke ground on 216-unit apartment complex there.
The expected cost will be $30 million for the project, It will consist of nine multifamily housing units, five with 32 units and tour with 16 inits. There will also be a clubhouse” that will include a 24 hour fitness center, offices, a model unit, lounges, reception, cafe and an eight-unit apartment.
The Grove complex will also have , pool tables, a tavern-style game room, and “Harvard-style” library and outdoor amenities including sand volleyball, a full basketball court, and a controlled access gate.
Also according to the Grove’s website, the company hosts events including beach volleyball tournaments, DJ’ed pool parties, blood drives, and taco nights.
The builder Campus Crest Construction hopes to be finished with the project by August 2014.
The Grove has apartment complexes in several other college towns throughout the country and state, including in Pullman, Ellensburg, and Cheney.
