Looking at the blue and red price lines we can see Whatcom County real estate has turned back down under the $300,000 mark for sold residential homes. We are down in price a bit over last month last year., while the number of sales is up over last year but down over last month. If you look at the cyclical nature of the green line it sure looks like an easy prediction that the number of sales will be on it’s way down as winter approaches.
Interest rates lower than ever and are expected to remain there fora while longer. Banks are lending money again, if you have good credit and a steady job you can get a loan to buy a home. If you’re buying in the county outside the downtown area, you could possibly even get that home with a zero down payment loan.
