Whatcom County real estate numbers for January are up for both price and number of sales over last year
The pattern of sales (green line in the chart above) is as I predicted last month down to close to 100
The inventory of homes for sale is still very low this year and according to the absorption rate we are still looking like a sellers market.
If your thinking of selling this may be a good time while there is still a scarcity of homes for sale and before the spring when lots of homes start coming back on the market and we may switch to a buyers market.
Interest rates are still hovering at record lows and are expected to stay there for a while longer.
