Everyone knows the Solar eclipse is Monday. Did you know that the maximum eclipse will be at 10:21 a.m., with the start of the eclipse beginning at around 9:10 a.m., and ending at 11:38 a.m.
The City of Ferndale, the Ferndale Library, and the Ferndale School District are coming together to hold a Solar Eclipse observing event on Monday, August 21st at 10 am in the field at 2004 Cherry Street (in between the Boys and Girls Clubhouse and the Pioneer Pavilion).
NASA Astronaut Wendy Lawrence and former NASA scientist Cathy Watson will be onsite to answer questions. Solar viewing glasses and pinhole cameras will be available to the public, as well as a solar system display for a demonstration of how an eclipse works.
Why drive to Oregon when you can see about 87% of the eclipse in Ferndale?
