The Northwest Raspberry Festival is this weekend along Front Street in downtown Lynden.
On Friday there will be free children’s activities like face painting, inflatable bounce houses and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament for kids in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Saturday, will have a display of classic cars at the Razz and Shine show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. between 7th Street and 10th Street, and a 5K run/walk beginning at 9 a.m. at Lynden Christian High School.
Free registration for the car show begins at 8 a.m. and is first come, first served.
Race preregistration is $10 by Wednesday, July 14; race-day registration is $15 for adults and begins at 8 a.m. The race is free for anyone under 18.
And what would a Raspberry Festival be without raspberry and ice cream sundaes. There will also be live jazz music at the 6th Street jazz stage and a “Berry Fair” street market along Front Street on both days.
