Meridian Neighborhood
On the north side of Bellingham is the Meridian Neighborhood. It is the most heavily commercial neighborhood, and includes the Bellis Fair Mall, the neighborhood's most predominant feature, and the many other adjacent shopping areas, where you can find all kinds of restaurants and specialty shops. Recently there have been newly annexed areas adding some residential units to the eastern portion of the neighborhood. Ankar Park which is on Spring Creek is a small, natural area with a pond and a short trail to the creek. The schools
here are Alderwood or Parkview Elementary, Shuksan Middle School, and
Squalicum High School
