in 1880. It is one of Bellinghams most desireable neighborhoods, with
its proximity to the water and it's quaint historic district. It is

town, along with Whatcom & Sehome that merged with Bellingham
in 1903 to become the city we know today. Fairhaven has blossomed
in recent years with growth of new retail space and businessess as
well as lots of condos and the beautiful Village Green in its center
where many local events are held as well as a Wednesday Farmer's Market
from June through September.
Fairhaven
boasts of it's old world charm with many old brick buildings remaining
from the 1800's and no chain stores.. There are lots of walking trails
and Fairhaven Park close by. Many WWU students live in the area, it
is home to a boat launch and easy access for kayakers. Padden Creek
