Get ready to party on Sunday, July 4, Independence Day
Bellingham’s Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration at Zuanich Point Park will include a fireworks show, music all day and a Kids Zone, all for free,.
Live music, begins at 11 a.m. includes Bellingham Youth Jazz band, The Motown Cruisers and Vaughn Kreestoe.
The fireworks show will begin about 10:30 p.m. over Bellingham Bay.
If you want to get out on the water to view the fireworks show over Bellingham Bay. and don’t have your own boat, Victoria San Juan Cruises will be offering a Fourth of July fireworks cruise from 8:30 to 11 p.m. leaving from the Bellingham Cruise Terminal in Fairhaven. Tickets are $25 per person and can be reserved at 738-8099.
The Hotel Bellwether will host a “Party on the Patio” at 7:30 p.m. July 4. The all-ages event will feature a gourmet barbecue dinner and a prime location to view the fireworks show over Bellingham Bay. Tickets are $15 per person.
Then there’s Blaine’s 9th annual Fourth of July celebration starting at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and concludes at 10:15 p.m. with fireworks show over Semiahmoo Bay at Blaine Marine Park.
Live music starts at 9:30 a.m. and a Fourth of July parade down Peace Portal Drive at 1 p.m. with Blaine’s own Luke Ridnour, point guard for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, as grand marshal.
Blaine will also have an arts and crafts street fair, a Loomis Hall Gallery art show, the classic car Show & Shine, and historic Plover ferry rides at Blaine Harbor.
