Downtown Sounds kicks off tonight with Spoonshine with Pete Farmer.
Downtown Sounds is a series of live concerts that will take place every Wednesday from 5-9pm, July 14th through August 11th, on Bay Street between Prospect and West Champion streets. Each night will include performances by popular local and regional bands, free of charge!
Spoonshine , a bluegrass, world beat, folk, high energy dance band from Anacortes. They do great three-part harmonies with guitar, mandolin, bass, woodwinds and African percussion. Pete Farmer is a One Man Band. He makes his own instruments and his own music. Every instrument he creates is inspired by the possibilities of adding percussion to the musician’s sound.
