Blaine, Washington, is a unique city situated in the most northwesterly corner of Whatcom County's and the busiest border crossing point between British Columbia, Canada and the State of Washington. Blaine is a little more than a half hour from Vancouver, B.C., and less than two hours from Seattle.

With the majestic snowcovered Mt. Baker and the North Cascades Mountains to the east, and Semiahmoo Bay and the Straight of Georgia to the west, Blaine is in a scenic place.

The Peace Arch State Park spans the US/Canadian border and is a monument to the two hundred years of peace between our countries. The park features an annual "Hands Across the Border" ceremony, celebrating that peace. The park exhibits sculptures by international artists. Blaine is home to the Historic Washington Foot Passenger Ferry, "The Plover", which takes tourists across the bay to the Semiahmoo spit, and the Inn at Semiahmoo.

Semiahmoo has a world class resort community featuring an Arnold Palmer designed championship golf course and a sister course at the Greens at Loomis Trail.
