Bellingham Folk Festival
When people think of music festivals and they usually they are usually thinking summertime, outdoors, pavilions, picnics. Well the folks at Bellingham love music so much that they decided to have a winter music Festival. And so the birth of the Bellingham Folk Festival which is happening January 22 through the 24th. The festival will not only involve shows but dances and jams and lots of workshops, where anyone can learn to play music from great folk musicians who have already mastered the arts. Workshops include “Woody Guthrie’s Columbia River Songs “, “Jug Band Style”, “Melody and Harmony in Singing”, “Cuban Circle Dance”,” Fiddle Tunes on the Banjo” and many many more for fiddle, accordion, ukulele, and what ever you want you’ll probably find it.
Every night they’ll be a featured show at the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship as well as the Honey Moon and the Green Frog. So get ready for lots of foot stomping and singing and good old musical fun.
