Environmentalist and activist David Suzuki will be at Western Washington University’s Performing Arts Center Concert Hall to speak about “Time is Running Out: Ecology or Economics?” at noon on May 6, as part of Western’s annual Japan Week Celebration.
The event is free and open to the public.
Mr Suzuki is mostly recognized as a radio and television host and has won numerous awards throughout his broadcasting career.
He is a prolific writer with 52 books, 19 of which are children’s books to his credit. Mr Suzuki has received 25 honorary degrees from institutions in the US, Canada and Australia.
At present he is a professor emeritus at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
Japan Week is happening from May 2-9. All events are free and open to the public.
